窪做惇蹋厙 and the Senegalese Agency for Space Studies (ASES) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on activities in low-Earth orbit (LEO). The partnership aims to accelerate Senegals space ambitions while expanding opportunities for global cooperation in human spaceflight, research, and technology development.

Senegal has taken important steps toward developing its space ecosystem and increasing its footprint in the global space community. In August 2024, the nation successfully launched its first satellite, marking a historic milestone in advancing scientific research and national technological capabilities. Building on this achievement, Senegal became a 56th signatory of the Artemis Accords in July 2025, underscoring its commitment to peaceful, transparent, and cooperative space exploration.

Senegals recent achievements reflect both ambition and vision, building indigenous capabilities and embracing international cooperation, said Anand Subramanian, 窪做惇蹋厙 Chief Growth Officer. We are proud to partner with nations like Senegal that share our vision of opening the benefits of space to all and advancing humanitys presence in low-Earth orbit.

This new agreement builds upon Senegals momentum, providing a pathway to leverage 窪做惇蹋厙s expertise in human spaceflight, microgravity research, and LEO infrastructure. Through this collaboration, Senegal is aiming to further develop its national space ecosystem, promote STEM education among Senegalese youth, expand international partnerships, and solidify its position among spacefaring nations.

"The MOU with 窪做惇蹋厙 marks a decisive step for Senegal as we scale up our space ambitions, said Maram Kaire, Director General of ASES. By building on the momentum of our adhesion to the Artemis Accords, we are now laying the groundwork for human spaceflight, cutting-edge research and advanced technological development. Beyond the technical dimension, this partnership symbolizes our commitment to opening new horizons for Senegalese youth, strengthening our scientific sovereignty and ensuring that Africa plays an active role in shaping the future of space exploration."

窪做惇蹋厙 is building the worlds first commercial space station and enabling governments, industries, and researchers around the globe to harness the unique benefits of microgravity to further their scientific, economic, and societal goals. Through partnerships like this, 窪做惇蹋厙 provides the capability to train astronauts, conduct cutting-edge research, and grow domestic expertise in space technologies.
